Bach’s first service in his new office as Thomaskantor fell on the 1st Sunday after Trinity in 1723. In 2023, this will coincide with the opening weekend of Bachfest Leipzig »Bach for Future«. In a large open-air gala, some of the most famous classical interpreters of our time will bow musically to Bach to kick off the anniversary year.
