Bach300 – Anniversary Concert III: Cantatas September 1723

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750)_

»Du sollt Gott, deinen Herren, lieben«, BWV 77

»Warum betrübst du dich, mein Herz«, BWV 138
»Christus, der ist mein Leben«, BWV 95

In the concert, special guest Christian Drosten, the well-known virologist and Bach lover, will speak about his relationship to Bach’s music – the ideal reflectionist on works such as the cantata “Es ist nicht Gesundes an meinem Leibe”, BWV 25, in which Bach presents Jesus as the ‘head doctor’ for the treatment of all our mental suffering. We are excited! Join us! The keynote lecture will be in German.
